KM Jubilee Festival timetable

THE FOUR DAY PROGRAMME
2nd - 5th June
This is for everyone - so come along and enjoy!

 
** It would be helpful if cars could be kept to a minimum on Main Street ready for the Saturday Parade and moved from Church Street on Sunday morning **
 
THURSDAY 2nd June
3.00 pm       History tour of St. Andrew’s Church
9.45 pm       Jubilee Bonfire lit, Greygarth Monument, Dallowgill
Singalong and music.  Bring your own instruments!
Come along early, bring a chair and refreshments ready to enjoy the 9.45 bugle Jubilee Call heralding the lighting of our Beacon Bonfire - one in a national chain!

Limited parking available at Greygarth (if dry), Tom Corner or the Methodist Chapel, where there are toilets.
 
FRIDAY 3rd June
9.00 am    Off-road 90 minute Social Run.
Meet at the Mechanics’. (Trail running shoes or regular ones if dry).
 
11.00 am   Reeth Brass Band in Mowbray Crescent
- 12 noon

2.00 pm Laverton’s Party on The Green
Live music.  Tables provided.  Bring your own food and drinks.
 
7.00 pm bar open, 8.00 pm start Coronation Music Night
Mechanic’s Institute. Free entry.  Donations for Ukraine.
 
SATURDAY 4th June
 
12.00 noon The Royal Parade
Assemble early ready to leave the Market Cross at 12.00 noon.
Vintage car conveying “The Queen”, floats, children, adults, strollers, mobility scooters to process down Main Street and along Back Lane South, ending at the Playing Fields where our Kirkby Queen will greet all children with a small gift.
 
12.30 pm onwards, An afternoon of Kirkby fun at the Playing Fields!
Entertainment, barbeque and much more.
Includes bowls exhibition and play along, egg throwing, coconut shy, 5-a-side football, tug-of-war teams….
Bring yourselves or a team along to join in or just watch the fun!
 
1.30 pm       Kirkby Queen plants our Elizabeth II Rose in the Jubilee Garden.

5.00 pm      Rodeo Bull at the Queen's Head
- 8.00 pm

 
7.30 pm bar open, 8pm start  Royal Quiz at the Mechs’
Bring your own Royal Feast.
Great prize for best crown! 
Royal raffle
Teams of up to 6.
Entry £3.00
 
SUNDAY 5th June
 
10.30 am   Family Service at St. Andrew’s Church
 
1.30 pm    The Street Party Picnic
- 4.30 pm  Church Street and outside the Queen’s Head
 
Red, white and blue tables in position.
Don’t forget your own chairs, food, drinks and extra decs!
 
From 1.30 pm     Queen’s Head All Day BBQ
                             Karaoke

 
1.30 pm    Kirkby School children perform a maypole dance to kick off proceedings
 
1.45 pm    Royal Teddy Bears Parade from The Queen’s Head.
Take your dressed up bear to the Teddy Bear’s picnic in the Church grounds for a special souvenir photograph.
 
2.30 pm       Ice cream and lollies from Church Street
 
Royal bran tub, games and fun things for the kids.
Jubilee ‘River of Hope’ art display by Kirkby Malzeard school children in St. Andrew’s Church.
 
Dance and sing along to live music.
 
Car parking at R&J’s Longswales - transport available.
